Martin came along to talk to us above viruses and malware. As usual it was a well planned and laid out talk presenting arguments both for and against running some kind of anti-virus software. Most members seemed to be ambivalent and would be prepared to run some from time to time but accepted that the major threat to Macs was the user being careless about security. Perhaps the best reason for running some is that it would find Windows viruses which whilst they will not harm your Mac, could be passed on to Windows using friends. At one point things got very noisy and we discovered that one member has a very strong "let them eat cake" attitude ;-)
