Salisbury — Nov 7th 2007
We had two presentations which were linked and somewhat timely. With the launch of Leopard, it was very topical for people to have a talk on how to upgrade the operating system. Of course, part of this procedure is to make sure you have a good backup before you start so the first talk was how to create a backup of the data on your hard drive. Not just the data which you create but a full system backup so you can start from an external drive in the event of a hard disc failure. We included how you could integrate this with Time Machine if you upgrade to Leopard and then went on to the talk about just how you should upgrade.
This was the first meeting where we were able to bring refreshments but as not many of us did, a few adjourned to the local pub afterwards. In short, a lively and hopefully informative meeting. If you weren't there, you missed out! Next one is Dec 5th. and by request we'll be starting a little later - 7:30pm.
