Color Sync Utility was touched on, giving a glimpse of the complexities of matching colour profiles, while Digital Color Meter showed how easy it is to analyse precisely the components of any colour displayed on your screen, to allow a perfect match in other media, particularly printing.

A demonstration of Grab seemed to duplicate keyboard combinationsa for copying parts of, or the whole of a screen, but the differences were explained, and it can be sen as a worthwhile option, particularly if needing to show a particular action to somebody at a distance.

Finally Lionel gave an active demonstration on prtitioning a new drve, or an old one, emphasising the need in the latter case to have a proper back-up of all data. This led to a discussion on the merits of Time Machine, Carbon Copy Cloner and Super Duper.
