We had a good attendance for the May meeting plus several "really sorry to miss this one" emails. Lots of people wanted to hear Dot's talk on genealogy. Those that attended were not disappointed! Dot is clearly no amateur when it comes to tracing family history and it showed in the level of detail she'd managed to uncover. She also used her experience to warn us of the many resources that are now available on line that are being provided by enthusiastic amateurs (nothing wrong with enthusiastic amateurs of course) who may at best jump to a conclusion, at worst just guess to make the pieces of their jig-saw fit! So don't take everything you find as being accurate.
