Prior to the usual business, we announced that the April 30th meeting will be held at Portchester Community School, White Hart Lane, Portchester, where we will be shown round and see in use the school's two Mac suites of computers.

An interesting evening revolving around the attributes and worth of MobileMe - ably demonstrated by Marco of Solutions. The discussions went on to cover a wider range, amongst other subjects touched on a comparison between SuperDuper and Time Machine. This was to the detriment of the former, as the argument in favour of Time Machine is that it does not interfere with the layout of the hard drive sectors, something which is apparently done by SuperDuper…

The start of the evenings' programme was not auspicious – the presentation on iChat and Skype that Michael had given the previous week at Dorchester had to arrive on a memory stick, as his laptop was away having the hard drive replaced. We started the new format of the meeting with Q&A's on a variety of problems, including how to sort out Wireless Networks, what a convert from the PC could use in place of MS Access - Filemaker was recommended. This was the first of our monthly meetings, there was a good attendance of 15 members including three from the western reaches of Wamug territory - welcome.
